Paul has made Lathrop his home for nearly 25 years, watching it grow from a small bedroom community to the thriving and prosperous city of nearly 40,000 residents it is today.
In 2012, Paul was unanimously appointed to the Lathrop City Council, serving four terms before being elected Mayor in 2024. As a member of the Council, Paul represents the community as a California League of Cities member, serving as Past President of the League of Cities Central Valley Division and as a member of the organization’s Small Cities, Transportation, and Infrastructure Committees.
