In 2012, Paul was unanimously appointed to the Lathrop City Council, where he is currently serving his fourth term. As a Councilman, Paul represents the community as a member of the California League of Cities, serving as Past President of the League of Cities Central Valley Division and as a member of the organization’s Small Cities, Transportation, and Infrastructure Committees.
In addition, Paul is a Director on the Tri-Valley San Joaquin Valley Regional Authority, a member of the San Joaquin County Area Flood Control Agency Board, the San Joaquin Air Resources Board, and the San Joaquin Waste Management Board.
He staunchly advocates for social justice, equality, inclusivity, and progress.
